Voice Lessons

The Embodied Voice

A holistic method: technique, breath and body working as one instrument, for singers of any genre.

The method

The Embodied Voice is a somatic, whole-body approach to singing, grounded in classical technique. Through breath, movement and awareness, the work invites an emotionally liberating connection to the voice you already have, creating space for freer, more authentic expression.

Classical foundations
breath, line, language
Genre crossing

Performance & nerves

Student reviews

She’s amazing!

Amanda has been an amazing vocal coach! I have been singing all my life with poor technique and not being able to project as well as I would liked. With her help in a short amount of time I am already noticing a difference. I am learning to control my breath better and starting to find a fuller sound.

The best teacher

Amanda is AMAZINGGGGG! She is an excellent teacher, keeping the lessons easy and bite sized to understanding what you are doing to your voice and how to breathe, who knew I was doing it wrong before? On top of the 1 on 1 video lessons, she sends additional materials and lessons to learn on your own time. Thank you for taking a chance on me!

Kind and encouraging

Amanda really helped me level up my vocal skills and has been incredibly encouraging. I’ve learned so much and feel more confident in my abilities as a vocalist, and it is an honor to be able to continue learning from such a stellar teacher, and an even more stellar vocalist, performer, and person.

Love our lessons

I have learned so much from Amanda, and she always makes it so fun. Our lessons have been one of the highlights of this year for me and I can’t wait to keep going!
